Joan Zajeski
Ever since I was young I've loved creating art. I would spend hours on decoupage and paper mache projects or doing hook rugs while watching the Brady Bunch. And I loved helping my mom change our family room and bedroom furniture arrangements every other month! I guess it's just in my blood.
I received my BA in English with a minor in Fine Art at Boston College and summer schooled at the Art Institute of Chicago. I started my career in Boston as an art buyer for a large advertising agency and then moved to Chicago to pursue a career in art direction. While creating tv commercials and print campaigns for global brands such as Kraft, Quaker and SC Johnson I honed my talent for aesthetics. A favorite part of my job was to scout homes and style them for TV shoots. I have a great eye for detail and my feel for scale comes naturally.
While raising our family I freelanced as a graphic designer and together with my husband designed and decorated our last two homes. All of these experiences have led me to my next chapter: interior design. I look forward to continuing doing what I love and hopefully working with you sometime soon.
